CyberLink Announces Miracast Support in Latest PowerDVD 13 Update


CyberLink Corp., a provider of innovative media creativity solutions, announced a new update to PowerDVD 13 - its market-leading media player for Blu-ray, 3D & HD video—that adds support for Miracast, enabling wireless delivery of high definition video and Blu-ray movies to certified devices.

Miracast, a wireless standard that enables streaming of video between computing devices, is natively supported in the recently released Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system. This update to PowerDVD 13 lets users running PowerDVD on a Windows 8.1 system to wirelessly stream the highest quality video (including protected premium content) from PC to compatible Wi-Fi Direct devices such as TVs, phones and tablets.
