CyberLink Launches YouNote

CyberLink Corp., a provider of innovative media creativity solutions, today released a powerful new note taking application, YouNote, for Windows 8 PCs and tablets. YouNote’s intuitive interface provides a natural platform for stylus/touch-enabled devices, delivering a precise and familiar note-taking experience.

Simplicity Meets Personal Productivity
YouNote’s intuitive interface masks a powerful engine optimized for advanced note taking functionality. Users can digitally jot notes, sketch designs and import and annotate photos, graphics or even website screenshots. As well as handwriting-to-text support, YouNote features a draw-to-shape feature that can correct sketched shapes to produce perfect triangles, squares, rectangles and circles every time, enabling the creation of legible, attractive notes and charts.

“YouNote blurs the line between traditional note-taking with pen and paper, and digital notes crafted with stylus and on touch-enabled computing devices,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “The ultra-intuitive design means users transitioning from pen and paper will immediately feel at ease in the richer, more flexible digital format and the impressive results offer an addictive writing and drawing experience.”

YouNote enables users to mashup any of the note taking elements, creating info-rich compositions and generating a multitude of exciting new usage possibilities in both professional and personal settings. Notes created with YouNote are saved as jpeg files and can be emailed to friends and colleagues directly from the app, or distributed using any other sharing application installed in a user’s Windows environment.

YouNote Availability
YouNote can be downloaded free from the Windows Store and installed in 9 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean. An in-app purchase option provides extended note storing capacity.
