Munin – Norse puzzle fun from Gojira and Daedalic Entertainment released for iOS, Android, PC, MAC and Linux

The Hamburg-based publisher Daedalic Entertainment will be releasing Munin, an exciting 2D puzzle platformer from the Portuguese developer Gojira, for smartphones and tablets as well as computers. Munin will be available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and on the Amazon App Store on July 7th, 2014.

In Munin, players enter a fantastic world of the legends of the Norse gods, because the raven Munin is one of the two loyal messengers of Odin, the father of the gods. But due to a capricious prank by Loki, he has been transformed into a little human girl, and his feathers have been scattered across the nine worlds of Yggdrasil. The players’ task is to find the feathers and restore the raven to his true form.

Munin combines classic side-scrolling gameplay with screen elements which can be rotated 360°. By turning the different screen elements, players open blocked paths, overcome obstacles, and create new passages. Thus columns are converted into bridges, and the ceiling of the cave suddenly becomes a safe bridge. Along with classic switches and moving levels, the physical properties of a wide variety of objects in the game can also be put to clever use in order to move forward, giving Munin even more game depth. Liquids such as lava or water begin to flow thanks to rotation, stones and boulders fall into the depths thanks to gravity. In order to help players keep from becoming disoriented, Norse runes point the way to the lost feathers.

Thanks to the extraordinary game worlds and a total of 77 exciting puzzle levels, Munin offers a unique mix of Norse mythology and tricky puzzles. With around seven hours of game fun, Daedalic Entertainment provides a long-lasting game experience.

Munin will be released on July 7th, 2014 for iOS and Android. Munin will be available on the Mac App Store, Google Play, and on the Amazon App Store at a price of 2.99 USD/ 1.99 GBP/ 99 RUR/ 2.69 EUR. For PC, MAC & Linux, Munin appears right in time for E3 on June 10th, 2014 for the price of 9.99 USD/ 6.99 GBP/ 249.00 RUR/ 9.99 EUR.

'Munin' Bonds Nordic Mythology and Platforming

Munin the raven, faithful messenger to Odin, now stands stripped of wings and transformed by Loki into a mortal girl. Flightless and determined, she will stride through the nine worlds of Yggdrasil to reclaim the lost feathers and return to Asgard.

From Portuguese developer Gojira and publisher Daedalic Entertainment, Munin is an upcoming 2D puzzle-platformer for Windows and Mac that fuses physics-based puzzles with Nordic mythology.

Munin bolsters the traditional side-scrolling experience with the use of rotating environments to surpass obstacles. By twisting portions of the environment, players will create bridges from pillars, turn walls into floors, and use physics to manipulate boulders, liquid, and lava.

Munin features 77 levels stretching across nine distinct worlds. It will be released for PC and Mac in all major online shops in spring 2014.
