Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today released their newest update for Star Wars: Force Collection, which includes a Star Wars-themed Contra minigame. The update also includes additional cards and a new Boss Event to further expand the Star Wars: Force Collection player experience.

Capturing all of the fast-paced platforming action of the arcade and NES classic, the minigame puts players in control of Chewbacca as he fights off Stormtroopers across four levels inspired by the original game, ranging from the forests of Endor and the treacherous halls of an Imperial facility to help the cause of the Rebel Alliance. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to receive two expansions -- Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine

The Witcher is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer tasked with finding a child from an ancient prophecy.

“With the development of Wild Hunt coming to an end, the team has embarked upon the creation of two new really big adventures set in The Witcher universe,” says Marcin Iwiński, CD PROJEKT RED co-founder. “We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back. We’ve said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”

Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new, 10-hour-plus adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.

Blood and Wine, a 20-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

“While we’re offering the Expansion Pass now, we want to make one thing clear: don’t buy it if you have any doubts. Wait for reviews or play The Witcher and see if you like it first. As always, it’s your call,” Iwiński concludes.

The upcoming expansions will offer gamers new adventures, gear and foes and will feature characters both new and dearly missed -- all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality by the joint forces of CD PROJEKT RED’s Warsaw and Cracow studios.

Hearts of Stone will premiere in October, while Blood and Wine is slated for release in the first quarter of 2016.

Both expansions will be available on all three platforms: Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4.

SteelSeries Siberia V3 Review

Back in January and during my review of the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless, I questioned and applauded SteelSeries' audacity to try and reinvent one of their favorite products on the market. The product I'll be reviewing today is no different, for the last ten years, the Siberia brand has been synonym with some of the most competent and relatively affordable headsets on the market. Unlike the Sensei Wireless, this new addition to the Siberia line-up is a lot more subtle when it comes drastic changes. It retains the same basic formula, changing only a few things here and there. But has SteelSeries done enough to justify the investment over the V2? Let's find out.

In terms of packaging it's SteelSeries standard, black and orange cardboard box, with lots of pictures and features listed on all sides in order to properly enlighten and inform the consumer before purchase.
Inside you won't find a ton of things, just the essentials, like the manual, sticker and an adapter/extension used to connect the V3 to your PC.
It's definitely not the greatest bundle ever, some might even argue that it is somewhat lacking in terms of accessories and extras. I would have to agree, this type of bundle feels lackluster in comparison to some competitors.

It's hard to talk about the V3 in terms of visual design since it looks almost exactly like its older brothers. Aside from a few changes in terms of size and slightly different ear-cups, the original Siberia design is still alive (and well).
The classic suspension system is still present and has been improved thanks to the reduced weight of this new model.
Probably the biggest change in terms of visual design and functionality would be the removal of the in-line volume controller, it's actually something that baffles me, with the Siberia V3 there's simply no easy way to adjust your audio on the fly. Why SteelSeries though this was a good idea is beyond me but it's a definite no-no in my book.

I would say that comfort is the V3's biggest strength, the lightweight structure combined with the always amazing suspension system and the new ear-cups allows the V3 to be used for hours on end without much distress to your head or neck. I would say that this is the first headset from SteelSeries that competes with the 9H in this department.

Unfortunately, and outside of games, the sound quality of the V3 is probably lower than the one from the V2 or the aforementioned 9H. In-game though, the V3 performs admirably well, with footsteps, explosions and that sort of thing coming to life and allowing you to improve your game.
The retractable microphone sounds ok but feels very quiet in my opinion, almost demanding a boost.

Final Thoughts

It's hard, maybe even impossible, to talk about the V3 without mentioning or comparing it to the famous and popular V2. Unfortunately for SteelSeries and gamers around the world, this new revision feels weaker in almost every aspect, I'm not saying that the V3 is bad, I'm saying that the V2 edition was one of the best headsets to ever be produced and its successor, the V3, falls short by comparison.
With that said, if you can't find the V2 on shops anymore, the V3 is still a very decent gaming headset. If you can spare the extra cash though, I would opt for the superior 9H.

The Good
+Familiar territory
+Comfort
+Visual design
+Great sound for games

The Bad
-Microphone sounds very quiet
-No volume controller
-Lack of extras
-V2 is still a better choice

Etherium gets a release date and details Conquest Mode in new gameplay video

Etherium, the new real-time strategy game for PC from Tindalos Interactive, will release in two weeks, on March 25. Anticipating this imminent release, and following the previous gameplay video that offered a global overview of the game's features, Etherium details its Conquest mode through a dedicated gameplay video.

In Conquest mode, a real galactic conquest awaits you. In this entirely non-linear mode, plan your tactics in turn-based, building invasion fleets, developing your technology tree to unlock new units and skills, spying on the enemy and sabotaging them, and ultimately invading their territories and planets in real-time strategy battles! You are free to decide how your conquests progress. Manage your resources, expand your colonies and extend your control of the map to assemble an army capable of crushing your opponents.

When invading an enemy planet or territory, you are sent to real-time strategy mode, where epic battles will ensue between formidable armies comprising numerous units: infantry, tanks, aircraft, and even gigantic colossi of war several dozens of meters high; real machines of destruction! Technological advancements made during turn-based view will let you use increasingly more powerful or specialized units: use scientific research to develop a tech tree enabling you to unlock new units and upgrades, access new structures to develop your colony and to use new special skills.

3DRealms Returns and Drops A Bombshell

Interceptor Entertainment partners with 3D Realms to bring the world Bombshell, an isometric action roleplaying game set for release on PC and consoles.

From the creators and producers of Rise of the Triad, Duke Nukem and Max Payne comes Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, bomb technician turned mercenary for hire. A fierce gunslinger with a personality as powerful as her mechanical arm, Shelly Harrison is set to blow her enemies away with skill and style.

Shelly lost her arm and her squad after failing to disarm an otherworldly bomb in what became known as “The Washington Incident.” Held responsible for the explosion, Shelly was discharged from the Global Defence Force and later approached by a private military contractor with the promise of a second chance: an arm constructed from technological remnants found in the wake of the incident.

Follow Bombshell’s quest for redemption as she fights through surreal alien worlds to rescue the President and save Earth using a growing array of special skills. With her own techtree upgrades, destructive weaponry and fierce combat abilities, Bombshell and her countless arm configurations make her the perfect soldier to stop the Kyrr, an evil alien race lead by diabolical scientist turnedmadman Jadus Heskel.

Bombshell never lets up. Fast-paced shooting, roleplaying style mechanics and an exciting story evoke a level of depth and intensity the genre has never seen before. Bombshell blends first-person shooting controls with an isometric perspective, empowering the player to save the world with deadly speed and accuracy.
