Blendoku is probably one of the most original puzzlers I have played in the last few years, imagine the concept behind the popular Japanese game Sudoku, replace the numbers with colors and there you go, that is pretty much Blendoku in a nutshell. It's amazing how something so simple can provide such an immense challenge.
As you move further and further into the more difficult levels (they are all unlocked right from the start), you will start to second guess yourself, serious doubts regarding the knowledge you possess when it comes to colors will take shape in your mind and you will especially begin to distrust your own eyes. Yes, this game just like Sudoku can drive you pretty much insane when you crank up the difficulty.
The game presents itself in a very pretty, minimalistic and above all functional visual style. The black background makes the colored blocks easier to distinguish and sort out, almost no visual noise that might disturb your gameplay experience is present here, only what is strictly necessary remains. My advice is for you to try and play Blendoku in a nice tablet while completely engulfed in darkness, put on your best heaphones and choose some nice classical tunes to accompany your journey into the world of Blendoku. Trust me, it's an experience unlike any other.
You know what's even better? The game is totally free, no hidden fees, no pay to win stuff, just you, your brain and a lot of colors. There are some extra level packs that you can pay for, but they are exactly that, extra, the core of the game is all there for you to enjoy, completely free of charge.
Certainly not for everyone, Blendoku will satisfy those who are always looking for something a little bit different and quirky to play, while still been an interesting option for fans of puzzle games.
