Sandberg Unveils the Speak'n Go Earphones

A piece of tin from a Coke can and a metre of copper wire wrapped around a few grams of iron from an old car door is enough to make the active part of an earplug headset. Place a little coloured plastic around and a little wire - then you have a product that can make sound and can be sold for a few euros in the shops.

At the opposite extreme are high-end producers, who almost turn the production of so-called "Earsets" into a fine art, using the finest principles of precision and materials. Add to this the marketing of high-profile brands and high profits for the channel. So you can end up paying over 100 euros for a product that basically fulfils the same need.

Sandberg settles in between these two extremes with its new "Speak'n Go" series. A series of products has been created here where the purpose is to give the consumer the best sound for the money. Good materials are used along with high precision in design and assembly work. This means that you can get an excellent product with great sound and a high product quality for 10-15 euros.

The series consists of an Earset located in the outer ear, and an In-Earset, which is placed in the ear. Both types are available in four fashionable colours and all versions have a microphone and answer button on the cord.

Sales Director Erling Hoff Petersen explains: "We believe that the vast majority of consumers are looking for a worthwhile product that can deliver excellent sound for the money. At the same time, we believe there are very few that will pay tenfold for 10% better sound quality."

Speak'n Go products are already heading to stores and webshops.
