It's hard to describe and talk about Dear Esther as a simple game, it's more of an experience, an interactive book that will make you think and cause your mind to wander while you become one with the beautiful scenery and touching narrative.
Lending aid to the breath-taking visuals is a perfectly composed soundtrack that will sweep you off your feet and augment every moment that you spend immersed in the world of Dear Esther. Jessica Curry, the composer, showed all her skill and talent, this stunning experience would certainly not be the same without her incredible effort.
Dear Esther may be the ultimate proof that video-games can indeed become art, especially when developed by talented, passionate and dedicated developers like The Chinese Room.
